DADA Tutors Training Programme

Created January 25, 2025

Building a Network of Bitcoin Educators Across Africa

We’ve been receiving an overwhelming number of requests from women across the continent who want to learn about Bitcoin and how it intersects with money, freedom, and economic empowerment in an African context. To meet this growing need, we’ve launched the DADA Tutor Training Program, (currently week 4 of training) with our inaugural group of seven tutor candidates from Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria currently undergoing training. They’re on the path to becoming certified tutors who will help run classes and build local chapters in their countries. We’re currently active in 11 African countries, and our long-term goal is to ensure that every African woman who wants to learn has access to trusted, community-led education, no matter where she lives. This program is part of our broader vision to create a decentralized, scalable system of learning that centers African women. Our course outline is thoughtfully designed with the realities of African economies in mind, exploring how systems of money and Bitcoin can either fuel or hinder our growth. We’re deeply committed to making this work sustainable, but we can’t do it alone. If you believe in this mission, do consider supporting us with a donation big or small, It goes toward training, internet, stipends, and expanding access to more women across the continent.
